Education System

Ireland provides high-quality and widely recognised academic credentials, a lively college community, and ample opportunities for progression in research and professional opportunities.

Education in Ireland is classified primarily at four levels:

  • Primary and Pre-Primary education.
  • Post-Primary Education
  • Specialized Education and training
  • Higher Education

The NFQ establishes the guidelines for educational qualifications in Ireland. It assesses and evaluates learning expectations and certification attainment, and it also promotes transfer between universities. The NFQ, which is affiliated with the European Qualification Framework (EQF), gives a renowned and approved qualification in other countries.

Fee range: Although tuition fees in Ireland are reasonable, adequate planning is still required to manage expenses effectively. Tuition fees are determined by each university based on the course and degree of education. The average annual price ranges between €10,000 and €25,000.

Teaching and learning styles: Ireland employs both participatory and imaginative learning methods. The system is dedicated to assisting international students in and out of the classroom. Independent learning is also encouraged, which includes working on projects, reviewing academic records, and taking notes during lectures.

Qualifications awarded:

  • Diploma
  • Certificate
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Master’s degree
  • Doctoral Degree

Academic Year: Two semesters make up the academic year for higher education.

  • the first semester, which runs from September to December, with a break for Christmas from the end of December to mid-January.
  • the second semester, which runs from the end of January to the beginning of May with a summer break from May to early September.

Opportunities for Employment: For individuals looking for employment, Ireland is the ideal location. Despite the intense competition, having the right work experience and abilities will boost your chances of landing a job. Opportunities can be found in a variety of large companies, and graduate students frequently work in the pharmaceutical, chemical, computer hardware, software, food products, drinks and brewing industries.
