About

The University of Central Lancashire is a Public University located in the city of Preston, Lancashire, England, and is the 19th biggest University in the United Kingdom in the context of graduates’ numbers. The University was established in the year 1828 and has its origins in The Institution for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge. It was later named Harris Art College, then Preston Polytechnic, and then Lancashire Polytechnic and in 1992 it was awarded the University position by the Privy Council. In addition to this, the University is located on a civic campus in Preston, another campus in Burnley and Westlake’s in West Cumbria, and a €53 million campus located in Cyprus, which commenced in October 2012. 

The UCLan provides various undergraduate, postgraduate and postgraduate researches, degree apprenticeship and CPD, and various short-term courses. The University has learners and research scholars from more than 100 countries and has associations with 125 foreign institutions.
