About

The University College of Osteopathy, previously known as the British School of Osteopathy, is the biggest and ancient institute of Osteopathy in the United Kingdom. The University receives the Recognised Qualification position for Osteopathy from the legislative governing organisation named General Osteopathy Council in the United Kingdom. The institute was awarded the degree-granting authorities in October 2015 and received a University College position from Privy Council in 2017. This University College offers short-term and long-term postgraduate and undergraduate courses to the students. The UCO also provides a Diploma course in Osteopathy Sciences and Health Care and this course is particularly for learners of the age of 18 years who want to become Osteopaths or who want to study in a medical care associated field but have a diminutive or no educational qualification over GCSE level. The postgraduate courses of the University College consist of Doctorate in Osteopathy, a postgraduate certification in research techniques, and M.Sc. in Osteopathy. They also offer a course named Osteopathy Sciences for M.OST students who proves their academic success and also who are not good at basics in the sciences.

The location of the University library is on the third floor, 275 Borough High Street, London SE1 1JE and has more than 9000 published books and a collection of electronic resources, functional models and DVDs and an inclusive assortment of Osteopathic journals.

Medical services

The UCO medical centre is located at 98-118 Southwark Bridge Road, London, United Kingdom and is the biggest Osteopathic medical centre that offers appointments to more than 40000 patients. It also has a general clinic that provides general health-related services to pregnant women, sporting injuries and individuals having HIV/AIDS.

Clubs

The UCO has a student community named Manus Sinistra that is run by the current and past students of the University. The University also has casual and comfortable clubs and communities namely  sporting teams, running clubs, yoga classes and meditation teams.
