Keele University is a public research university located in Keele, England. The University specializes in Life Sciences, Computing and Mathematics, Chemical and Physical Sciences, Geography, Geology, the Environment, and Psychology. The University campus consists of 617 acres of rural land that is home to an award-winning conference center. The University initially started as the University College of  North Staffordshire. In 1949, the University College was authorized to award degrees to its students. It achieved university status in 1962 when it was granted the Royal Charter.

The students accommodated at the campus have to be registered to a local GP when they arrive at the University. They will be eligible for treatment in an emergency but if their visa has a validity of four months, then they will have to guarantee that they have insurance to cover their expenses during a non-emergency situation.
