City University is a research university that has been deemed public and is a part of the federal University of London located in Northampton Square in London. The University is also a leading international university determined to improve the academic value, focusing on business and professions. The oldest member of City University was ‘The Inns of Court School of Law’ established in 1852. Later in the 21st century, the merging of the schools of nursing, business, and law also took place and the university that was still known as the University of London was renamed the City University of London.

  • Tiff Needell, a British racer and television presenter of ‘Lovecars’ and recently served as the co-presenter of ‘Top Gear’ and ‘Fifth Gear’.
  • Mahatma Gandhi, an Indian lawyer, anti-colonial nationalist, and political ethicist who led the campaign for India’s independence from British rule. He led several historical events that had inspired many civil rights movements around the globe.
  • Muhtar Kent, a Turkish-American business executive who was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Coca-Cola, later became the CEO in 2008. He was awarded an honorary degree by the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2014.
  • Liu Mingkang, a Chinese politician, public servant, and economist who graduated from the University of London. He served as the chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission till the age of 65 years. He has also served in Research Institutes, Economic Affairs, Banking Regulatory Commissions, Bank of China, and more provinces in China.

City University has an online recruitment team called ‘Unitemps’ that regulates any openings for part-time jobs and internships. Graduates can also seek information and advice from ‘Unitemps’ for their career or their next move after completion of their studies. There are about 1,200 City students who work through ‘Unitemps’ every academic year and have earned more than £943,423 in total. 

Accommodation:

Student accommodation at City University comes with a wide choice of options to choose from. The University provides low-cost renting rooms that are not found in most universities. Students can choose to live in the halls of residence where they are exposed to a diverse environment, with students coming from different cultures and backgrounds.
