Anglia Ruskin University is an innovative global university in East Anglia, the United Kingdom, and was founded in 1858. John Ruskin, an art critic, a patron and philanthropist, initially established the University as the Cambridge School of Art. Over the years the Cambridgeshire College of Arts and Technology merged with the Essex Institute of Higher Education to create Anglia Polytechnic University in 1992. The University was then renamed Anglia Ruskin University in 2005.

The University has four strategic locations, Chelmsford, Cambridge, Peterborough and London. Located in Chelmsford, England, the Chelmsford Campus is made up of striking futuristic buildings that house cutting-edge facilities. It includes Essex's first School of Medicine and the Queens building. The Cambridge Campus is a bustling campus located near the historic city centre, with a vibrant cultural and social scene. It is also home to several high-tech clinical skill labs as well as mock hospital areas. 

The Peterborough (Guild House) Campus is close to the city centre and houses the social, education and health care faculty, and is committed to educating professionals in the area. It includes a modernistic skills lab and equipment centre, comfortable social areas and a well-stocked library. The London Campus focuses on providing high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

The University has collaborations with a variety of different institutions within the UK and around the world. Within the UK, it has collaborations with the University Centre West Anglia and University Centre Peterborough. Student Services:

Career counselling, CV preparation, job searches, resumes, and interview preparation, are all available to University students, as are campus job fairs, workshops, and employer visits. Their online forum offers a wealth of career resources for students to avail themselves of. The Students Union has a vibrant volunteer network, with hundreds of ways for students to get involved in the community while honing their skills. The University Temps are there to assist students in locating part-time employment that coincides with their studies. 

Accommodation:

Students at Anglia Ruskin University have the option of living on or off-campus in a welcoming, comfortable, and safe atmosphere. Cambridge halls and flats, University Centre, Peterborough housing, Hospital housing, and Chelmsford Student Village are examples of on-campus housing; while private sector houses such as halls of residence, apartments, studios, or shared housing are examples of off-campus housing. All of the housing is within walking distance of the city centres.

Medical Services:

All students at the University have free and confidential access to the Counselling and Wellness Program, which can help with anything from depression to relationship issues, panic attacks, exam anxieties, tension, among others. The university’s chaplaincy is open to all students, regardless of faith or commitment. It aims to assist students in getting the most out of their educational experience, including any spiritual or religious support. Students can also access self-help programmes and report incidents of bullying, bigotry, abuse, hate crimes, sexual misconduct, and domestic violence.

Sports Facilities:

The Cambridge and Chelmsford campuses have sporting facilities such as gyms, fitness studios, sports halls and a swimming pool. The Helmore Gym, Coslett Dance Studio, Tennis Court, the Kelsey Kerridge Sports Cantre and Parkside Pools are all situated on the Cambridge Campus; the Old Factory Gym, Midmay Sports Hall, Riverside Ice and Leisure Centrum and Chelmsford Sports and Athletic Centre are all located on the Chelmsford campus. Students may also volunteer, join the sports club boards, and train as coaches and officials while pursuing their degrees.

Library Facilities:

Anglia Ruskin University has two libraries, one on the Cambridge campus and the other on the Chelmsford campus. Each library has a large online collection of e-journals, e-books, and databases, as well as a variety of course-related materials. Community work zones, quiet study areas, multimedia playback, networked computers, wireless connectivity and IT applications are also integrated within the library.
