UG Design Courses: Aspirants can secure admission in a UG level design course if they have completed 10+2 from a recognised board with passing marks. Aspirants from any stream (Science/ Commerce/ Arts) are qualified to apply for admission in a UG design course.
PG Design Courses: On the other hand, to secure a place in a PG level design course, applicants should have completed graduation from a recognised college/institute. Most colleges favor graduates with a bachelor’s degree in only design stream, however, aspirants from other streams are also qualified to apply for admission in a PG design course if they hold the required skill-set and aptitude. It should also be kept in mind that the college or institution that the eligibility criteria may vary depending on the course and the institution and college the student has opted for.
The average fees to pursue a degree in B. Design is under 10 lakhs in private colleges and under INR 7 lakhs in government colleges.
Whereas the fees for Post graduate in Design is between INR 1 – 3 lakhs.

AIEED: All India Entrance Examination for Design is conducted by ARCH Academy of Design for undergraduate and postgraduate admission. It basically consists of three stages: GAT, CAT and Video, Portfolio and Personal Interaction with the panel.
SEED: SEED is conducted Symbiosis International University (SIU) .
DAT: DAT exam is conducted by National Institute of Design (NID)
UCEED: UCEED is Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design, conducted by IIT Bombay .
Pearl Academy Entrance Exam: This exam is also known as PAF exam. It offers admission in various design courses in Pearl Academy in different campuses.
FDDI AIST: Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) conducts All India Selection Test (AIST)
(IICD): Indian Institute of Crafts and Design in various B Des and MDes programmes.
